Exhibitions and events

On October 9, 2018 regular meeting devoted to "Out of the museum" educational program was  held. The meeting was comprised of representatives from Akunk community pedagogical staff and school children. The program consisted of two parts, the first part was devoted to the Independence Day, and the second part - to the 2800 th anniversary of Yerevan. Senior researcher of the museum L. Tadevosyan thoroughly presented the program entitled "Road of Independence" 1988-1991. Relevant video clips were demonstrated during the lesson. Students were asked questions and shared their knowledge on the particular subject. Due attention was paid to participating students singing the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia. The second part of the program was devoted to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan during which were presented old and new photos of the capital.

      

      

From June 13 to August 31, 2018, the itinerant exhibition of thewill be organized in the House-Museum of Khachatour Abovyan. The works of Soviet and contemporary artists are presented, which shows friendly relations between the two nations, presenting important historical episodes.

  

On May 18-19, 2018 International Museum Day and "Night of Museums" programme will be held in Armenia. Almost all the museums of Armenia organize different events and exhibitions. As in the "Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship" the construction works are being carried out, so the Museum will not take part in the mentioned events. 


On March 27, 2018 within the frameworks of Francophone Days in Armenia«The Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship»presented«4 chairs»exhibition-illustration. The exhibition was held on the second floor of Abovyan city Municipality. The  archive documents which include important issues concerning the Armenians from 1878 to 1916 are exhibited in French.  The documents are presented in a collage form on 4 chairs. Each of the chairs represents one document surrounded with symbolic items which are indirectly linked to the documents content. The exhibition-illustration will be continued till April 10.



On January 25, 2018 an educational program-action took place in Kotayks secondary school of Kotayk region under the title «Out of the museum». The pupils of the 8th form and the teachers took part in the program. The topics of the educational program were «Russo-Persian war (1826-1828) and the capture of Erevan fortress» as well as «Unification of Eastern Armenia to Russia».
The aim of the program is to bring up spirit of patriotism in the pupils, to generate knowledge of centuries-old history of Armenian and Russian peoples as well as interest towards the museums. The educational program is dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of the foundation of the capital city of Erevan and to the 190th anniversary of the unification of Eastern Armenia to Russia.

  
  

On December 15, 2017, an event, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the «Museum of Armenian and Russian Peoples friendship», took place in the Municipal library of Abovyan.
The founder director, Armenian honored artist Samvel Sevada, the ex-employees, students, pupils, as well as representatives of culture were present at the event.

  
  

On november 23, 2017, «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship» in cooperation with the public organization «Come to the museum» organized an educational program under the title «Museum of the future». The pupils of the 7th and 8th grade of Abovyan educational complex took part in the educational program.

  

On November 2, 2017, an event, dedicated to Russian Unity Day, was organized in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian Peoples Friendship». The 6th grade pupils of the 1st primary school after A. Goletsyan of Artashat, region of Ararat, took part in the event. The children also took part in the educational program, entitled «Friendship and communication» which let them check and test their knowledges. Afterwards they were awarded with certificates. At the end of the educational program the children presented musical performances of Armenian and Russian musicians.

  
  

On September 30 and on October 1, 2017 Armenia and Artsakh were set to host the annual Heritage Days program.
The program held under the title «Heritage and nature» was sheduled to launch in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship», where there were an exhibition, a lecture, tree-planting and educational program under the title «The nature and the children» organized.
A discussion-lecture was held in the Museum with the participation of the young artist L.Sedrakyan.
An educational program, under the title «The nature and the children» was held in the Museum in cooperation with the spiritual and cultural center of Abovyan city.
On October 1 a tree-planting was organized in the square Barekamutyun, in the park next to the Museum, with the participation of the Museum employees and volunteers.

 
  

On September 20, 2017 an event, dedicated to the Armenian Independence, took place in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship».
The artists of the ensemble «Erzrum» presented patriotic songs during the event.
The young artist L. Sedrakyan presented her portraits and colleges in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship».
The event was dedicated to the 26th anniversary of Armenian Independence, as well as to the 35th anniversary of the Museum.

  
  

On July 14, 2017, at 15:00 an event, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Armenian great sea painter H. Aivazovsky, was held in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship».
Afterwards an art exhibition was opened in the Museum with the participation of Abovyan citys St. Stepanos spiritual and cultural centers children.
The events were dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship».

  
  

On June 24, 2017, within the frameworks of the events dedicated to the 35th anniversary, «The museum of the Armenian and Russian peoples friendship» in cooperation with Abovyans Folk and Jazz Studio organized a gala concert in the Museum.

  
  

On June 10, 2017, «Russian Day» was celebrated in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship». It has been celebrated annually on June 12 since 1992, and it is considered as one of the countrys newest holidays, which is originally named «Russian Independence Day» marking the day when Russia declared its independence from the Soviet Union. Abovyans Folk and Jazz art studios children also participated in the event, which was organised in the Museum, presenting Armenian and Russian songs as well as instrumental performances.

  
  

On June 1, 2017, on the International Childrens Support Day an art exhibition was organized in the open air, in front of the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship», where there were represented the works of Abovyans Folk and Jazz Art Studios children.

  
  


On May 20, 2017, within the frameworks of Museum night an educational programme, entitled «Melodies and colors», was organized in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship» in cooperation with Abovyan city State College as well as Spiritual and Cultural Center after St. Stepanos.

  
  

On May 18, 2017, within the frameworks of the International Museum Day a discussion on the subject of «Painful stories» took place in the «Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship» with a participation of the intellectuals of the city Abovyan.
The officers and soldiers of Kanaker garrison, the employees of the department of historical monuments of the marz Kotayk, as well as the employees and pupils of Abovyan Childrens Support Center were present at the event.
After the discussion of the theme, Tereza Shamamyans photo-exhibition under the title «Painful stories» was organized.

  
  

On April 22-30, 2017 the artist and pedagogue Anahit Poghosyans photo exhibition was organized in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship” which was dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.
Тhe artists 15 works were exhibited which were created in different years representing the cosy corners of the native nature.

  

On April 18-23, 2017, within the frameworks of Francophone Days in Armenia, historical archive documents, which were representing Armenian public and politician events from 1903 to 1916, were exhibited in French in "The Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship".
Among the exhibited materials were the application of patriarchs and bishops of Constantinople and Jerusalem to the Tsar Nicholas II (1903), writs and letters from Poghos Nubar, Armenian prominent political figure, a Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly and a founder of Armenian General Benevolent Union.

  

On April 11, 2017 «The museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship» in cooperation with the National Center of Aesthetics after H. Igityan organized an exhibition, themed «The Space through the eyes of children», which was dedicated to the International Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics, as well as to Valentina Tereshkovas 80th anniversary, the first woman cosmonaut in the world. The National Center of Aesthetics studio pupils paintings were presented in the exhibition, which reflected the Space in its polychromatic colors and fantastic images. The exhibition is also dedicated to the 35th anniversary of «The museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship».

  
  

On December 3-11, 2016 on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an exhibition of the disabled childrens handicrafts was organised in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship”.

  
  

On November 30, 2016, within the frameworks of the scientific - research programms a lesson - event, dedicated to Aleksander Spendaryans 145th anniversary, took place in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship”.

  

From November 25 to December 9 2016, a photo exhibition entitled “Yard interior” was opened in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship”, where were imagined Abovyan citys yards with their unique interior.

  

On November 4-15, 2016 an exhibition dedicated to Russias Unity Day was organized in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship”.

  

On October 16, 2016 the writer Feliks Meliqsetyans book presentation “Pilgrim of the lost field” took part in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship” which was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of RA Independence. Famous writers, artists, intellectuals, students and pupils were present.

  

On October 15-30, 2016, modern artists works were exhibited in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship” where were shown works of painters’ union G. Avetisyan, V. Simonyan, H. Harutyunyan and other modern artists works.

  

On September 25, 2016, within the frameworks of the events “Abovyan days”, in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship” a matinee was organized with the participation of the intellectuals and citizens of Abovyan, who launched activity in the sphere of culture. The program was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia.

  

On September 24-25, 2016 within the frameworks of “European heritage days” an exhibition entitled “Heritage and community” was organized in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship” where historical materials and documents of 18-20 centuries expressing Armenian and Russian peoples relations were exhibited. An exhibition of Armenian traditional household goods was also opened in the Museum, where were shown goods and clothes which were used in Armenian living from the 19th to the 20th centuries.

  

On September 20, 2016, an exhibition, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, was organized in the “Museum of Armenian and Russian peoples friendship”.

  

On September 15-30, 2016, the exhibition “Independence through the eyes of different generations” which was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of RA Independence.

  

On September 15-18, 2016, within the frameworks of the event “Russian film week” in the Museum were shown films.

  

On June 21 2016 a gala-concert, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of RA Independence, took place. During the concert the pupils of Abovyan’s Pop and Jazz studio presented instrumental and dancing numbers as well as poetry and vocal performances.

  

On June 10 2016 with the aim of recognition, Konstantin Slishenko, the head of Petrapavlovsk-Kamchatskiy region, Anatoli Kirnosenko, the vice-president of the city duma of Petrapavlovsk-Kamchatskiy and Arthur Khachatryan, the president of the Armenian unity in Russia of Kamchatskiy region, visited the Museum.

  

On May 21 2016 within the frameworks of the Museum Night annual European event, a concert, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of RA Independence, was held in the Museum. The pupils and the pedagogues of Abovyan’s Pop and Jazz studio participated in the concert. Mamikon Badalyan, the art director of the studio, had a speech too.

  

On May 20 2016, the Museum in cooperation with the educational centre of Russian community in Abovyan presented a spectacle of Russian tales. The spectacle was performed by the pupils of the educational center’s circle «Beryozka».

  

On May 18 2016 an exhibition, dedicated to the International Day of the Museums entitled «I am the generation of Independent Armenia», was organized. The chore «Goharner» of Abovyan took part in the opening of the exhibition. The event was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of RA Independence.

  

From May 13 to 20 2016, an exhibition, with the participation of the children having disabilities, was opened in the museum. The works of the pupils of the special school N 1 in Abovyan were shown in the exhibition.

  

On May 10 2016 the Museum in cooperation with the secondary school N 4 of Abovyan organized an event dedicated to May victories. The veterans of the Great Patriotic war were also present in the event.

  

On April 29 2016 within the frameworks of scientific educational program a historical patriotic open lesson was held in the Museum with the participation of the pupils and the teachers of the seminary school N 5 of Abovyan. The open lesson was accompanied by artistic performances.

  

On April 26 2016 within the frameworks of events organized on the occasion of the «International Days of Frankophonie» an art exhibition, entitled «France through the eyes of young artists», opened in the museum of «Armenian and Russian peoples’ friendship». The event was accompanied by French songs.

  

On May 10, 2015 an event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War took place.
